Join Candidates for the three open Carroll County Commissioner seats, Susan Ticehurst, Wharton Sinkler and Dwight Devork at the Ledge Brewing Company, 15 Town Hall Rd, Intervale, NH 03845, for an informational event about the Carroll County Commission, its role in Carroll County’s government, and the services and facilities the County provides for residents.  

 This will be a good chance to learn about your county government in a discussion format with three candidates who are running for County Commission.  In addition to an overview of the county’s departments and the services they provide, we will outline some areas for potential improvements.  Examples include:

 More transparency regarding decisions and deliberations of the County Commission; 

• Initiatives to reduce ballooning costs of agency staffing at the Mountain View Community nursing home; 

• Better utilization of the County Farm’s agricultural lands and forest resources;

• Evaluation of solar power for reducing electric power costs and benefitting taxpayers.
