There is a really good vibe and spirit throughout Carroll County!
Town Chairs have been doing a great job getting Town Caucus dates on the calendar. It’s been wonderful to see everyone taking the *two week notice* direction so seriously. There has been great use of email lists, the Carroll County DEMs Facebook page, and public notices in obvious spots (local library, post office, etc.). Today we can share info we know. As we know more — so will you!
Members of the Executive Committee of Carroll County DEMs will be meeting very soon to determine the best date. It will be widely publicized and shared. If you have questions or concerns about anything related to the Carroll County Caucus, please Contact Knute.

Join us on June 10th around 1pm for our annual Flag Day Picnic at Dick and Ruth Stuart’s house on Squam Lake, 677 Squam Lake Rd Sandwich. We began this event to try and rally support in the Lakes Region for Democrats a few years ago and after Edie DesMarais‘ historic win in the Wolfeboro Special Election are convinced that we can win in every district. It will take time, and some money, from all of us though. So come hang out at the lake, enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers, hear from Steve Marchand, State Senator Dan Feltes and Executive Councilor Andru Volinsky as well as our 4 Democratic State Representatives from Carroll County and make a suggested contribution of $25.
We had a great meeting on January 23rd with a lot of new faces wanting to know how they can stand up to the Trump and Sununu Administrations. To do that we’ve started working on Activists Workshops. The first one was on February 2nd at the Moultonborough Library and covered social media.
Our next general meeting will on Monday February 27th at the Wolfeboro Inn in Wolfeboro. The Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy will be joining us. We will also hear from Edie DesMarais, our candidate in the upcoming Special Election to fill one of Wolfeboro’s NH House seats.
Starting in March we will be hosting an Activist Workshop each month at the Conway Public Library. On Saturday March 11th at 1pm Bob Gillette, formerly of Radio Free Europe, will be discussing best practices and techniques for writing a Letter to the Editor of your local newspaper.
We will have more information on the topics and presenters soon but the dates for the April and May workshops are Saturday April 15th and May 13th, both at 1pm. Please follow our Facebook page to stay up to date on our ongoing efforts to hold the administrations in Concord and Washington accountable!
Sign up here to knock on doors and make calls with us in the final (and most exciting) phase of the campaign where we turn out ALL the voters for Democrats up and down the ticket!
Update: there is now a Democratic office at 50 Bay Street in Wolfeboro. Stop by!

The December meeting will be held on 12/3 at Runnells Hall in Chocurua Village at 6PM. More information is available at www.facebook.com/events/1084372871582017/
