3. There is a meeting of the exec comm of the Carroll County DEMs on Monday the 12th at 5:00 pm at Pizza Barn in Ossipee. We will get some pizza and have some conversation about a handful of topics including Vote Builder plans, best practices for welcoming candidates, Fundraising & Events, and more. 9. Sen. Bennet was well received during his visit to Tamworth in late July. There were a few dozen people who gathered behind Tamworth Distilling alongside the river. It was beautiful, classic New Hampshire.
10. Lots of folks are talking about Governor Sununu’s veto of the bills that were sent his way about guns. They were smart and carefully crafted bills that had broad support. Many thanks to the Reps of Carroll County who were part of championing the passage of these bills in the House. It’s unfortunate that Mr. Sununu has made this mistake. Rep. Burroughs of Bartlett shared this editorial from the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript which is a good read for those of us who are disheartened by Mr. Sununu’s (in)action. Thanks for sharing this, Anita!
